Spacers hurt a slight bit more for me than the braces did, but I would get a bit of a headache every time I would get my braces tightened. Not a big deal at all, just keep some Tylenol around.

I don't know which hurts most but I will tell you braces honestly don't hurt. They do when you first get them and every time you get them adjusted but over all they don't hurt.
