What you should do, however, is shower daily, washing the genital area with a mild soap (just the external bits!), and wipe after you use the bathroom. If you want, you can carry baby wipes or feminine wipes and wipe with those.
If that area smells bad, it could be a sign of infection. If you have a strange smell accompanied by an abnormal discharge, then I would go to the doctor to get checked out.
