I got off the phone from customer service twice and things are still soconfusing!
So the international charges for text are now 20 cents. The lady said that my carrier is Bell but I don’t know how that’s possible and how that explains why I can’t send text messaged to England (it always worked before).
And about the 15 cent rate change, the texts are only free if you’re on a text add-on (unless you’ve gone over the number of texts included in your add-on). After 30 mins of research, I found that the Add-On is $5/MONTH for 100 text messages. Which also doesn’t make sense since can’t you put more than $5 and then it’ll just subtract another $5 when you text up another 100 messages? Why would you get charged extra?
I usually get the $100 Top up card, which lasts more than a year. And it depends on the month and occassion I guess (like FIFA) but someitmes I barely text in a month. SO even if I don't text 100 texts in a month, they'll still take $5?
Instead of toping up $5 every month, can't I still get my $100 and they just subtract it?
I'm trying to do the math here and cme up with various options here.
So if I use $5 every month for 100 texts, I'd pay $60 per year (I barely make calls).
If I'm going with my 15 cents per text, then that's $15 per month and $180 per year.
But the big question is, would it really be worth it if I don't text 100 messages a month still be charged $5 rather than $100 per year to actually pay what I use?
This si probably confusing so I'll just stop here. Thanks!
