Ahhhh, my neck!

Question Posted Tuesday May 11 2010, 8:32 am

I somehow doubt age matters, but 22/f if it does.

I woke up today with the worst neckache I've had since I had whiplash in 2006. It hurts to the point that it's making me queasy, and I have a 13-hour work day ahead of me.

I didn't do anything to my neck, I don't think I slept in any weird positions - the only difference is that I didn't sleep on the heating pad I usually do because my boyfriend and I have been fighting about it. I tossed it in the closet because I was just so sick of the arguing...Anyway.

I have painkillers for a different problem, and they're helping a little, but I still feel stiff and sick.

Anyone know any good remedies?

Aside from the obvious advice to visit or call your doctor, I would suggest you pay a visit to this website I found. It contains stretches and other treatments that might help ease your pain. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
This website had various massages you can try to help. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Be careful though. Stretching should not cause you pain, just a gentle push. And the massage should also be done lightly at first otherwise you might make the problem worse.

I hope you feel better!

I don't any remedies, but you might want to pay the doctor a visit if it doesn't ease up. It could be a thyroid problem.

You could of pulled a muscle, Maybe you DID sleep on it the wrong way? It also could be stress related..It could be a number of things.
