Sweating!

Question Posted Wednesday April 21 2010, 7:48 pm

I sweat too much! :\ I get paranoid and nervous to wear solid colored shirts, or any other type that will show underarm wetness. I have to like keep my arms down and try not to raise this. I sweat almost everyday at school. This either happens often during lunch, or in the morning. It annoys me because if I want to go outside for lunch and just walk around, I might start sweating from that. :| Just yesterday, I went to a school's orchestra concert, and I started sweating just from sitting there. It was probably because I was mad/nervous/anxious about something I was texting about. Yes, sometimes I sweat when I'm just really anxious too. o.o I don't think my sweating is major problem, and it's not excessive sweating either. Does anyone have any suggestions for what possible antiperspirant deodorants that I could use? Am I doing something wrong while applying it? I have tried Dove, Secret Clinical Strength, and right now I am trying Degree. It just seems like no antiperspirants will work for me. It says apply 2 clicks before bed, and I've tired that. No luck. So then I tried applying 2 clicks before I head of to school... Not much either. Would it be any more effective if I applied more clicks, or is that bad for you? o.O I just don't know. Any advice would be great! I just don't want to see a doctor or anything. o.o

Additional info, added Wednesday April 21 2010, 7:51 pm:
Since summer is also approaching, I definitely do not want to be worrying about sweat marks.... :\ and I hate it because it just leaves gross marks on my clothing near the pit area, when I sweat. I have yellow stains on my white shirts near the armpit area, and I also have white stains on my black tank top from deodorant....

Hey. I know what you have. It's called hyperhyrdrosis and my brother has it to. It's defined as "excessive sweating." He told me that when he used to be writing his hand would sweat so much that it would drip on to his paper :/. But luckily my parents decided to take him to the doctor and he was diagnosed. The condition is fairly common and definitely something that can be fixed. He prescribed a special kind of powdery deodorant to my brother and I haven't heard him complain since :). So that would be my suggestion; for you to see your doctor.

If you don't want to however, I've also found a link that should be helpful. There are probably products online that could help as well.

Take care <3

Oh okay, well in any case I use arm and hammer deodorant/antiperspirant and I never sweat. And what's more, there is no smell.
