Scene hair :D

Question Posted Tuesday March 30 2010, 5:09 am

F/16. I absolutely love how scene hairstyles/"emo" haircuts look on girls. My hair is wavy and a little past my shoulders I wanted to know if anyone has any pictures of an emo haircut for my type of hair. I love dramatic hair. I'm getting my haircut tomorrow and I'm not sure what to tell her. I don't want short hair. I've tried getting it done before but the lady had no clue what I was talking about and ended up giving me a really weird haircut.

i found some pictures and some tips you can tell her for each one..

[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
.. make sure you tell her that you want high layers. like short layers on top and then long underneath. and the you want side bangs that go all the way across your forehead from the left side down to the right.. which means they will have to be long. then tell her that you want a small trim. like 1/2 and inch or inch.

... tell her to seperate your hair into long layers on the bottom and short layers on top. make sure she knows that you dont want to thin ANY of the short layers on top but you want the bottom layers thinned out as much as possible. then tell her you want full bangs that frame your face. then tell her you want a small trim.

... tell her that in the back, you want it to be choppy like a boys haircut and then to part both sides of your hair so you can have big pieces of your hair layered in the front. then ask her to take a chunck of the right side part she is leaving out and turn it into side bangs that go from the right side all the way down to the left side [where there is another chunk of hair that wasnt chopped up] and then tell her you want a small trim.

... this is basically the same information as the first one i gave you, but to make the bangs go across your forehead from the left to right and in this picture, she just used a lot of hairspray and gel to get the layers sticking out on top. but this is a good picture to use if you want to describe how you want the top layers to look.

.. i know that none of these are wavy, but they will all lok good wavy and you can also get a straightener or some styling gel and hairspray [like all of these girls use] to make it look even more scene.
hope i helped, just show your hair cutter these pictures and youll be good to go :] oh and ever think about extnsions ? maybe one day youd like to try those. good luck ! have fun, and i hope i helped. :] xxo.
