Well my friend, this is what I tell everyone who asks me a questions about "getting a guy to like you..." You cannot "get" or "make" a guy like you, he either does or does not. However, by being yourself and being friendly and sweet, that will show off who you are as a person and he will either take to you as a friend or as more than a friend.
My advice is for you to talk to him at least once daily at school, even if it's just a "Hey, how are you?" type of conversation. Any communication is great progress and you need to become familiar with talking to him, if you have not already. Take good care of yourself, wear clothes that fit you well but are not tight and clothing that is appropriate because he will respect you for that. Speak to him nicely, as always, and just be yourself and show off your personality -- that will be how you will find out if he just wants to be your friend (which is great in itself) or if he'd like to be something more (which is great also!).
Just play it by ear girl and things will work out. Even if he doesn't like you as more than a friend, you are sure to have a good friend in general. :) Best of luck!
