explain why an athlete would need more calories than a person who leads a "sedentary" lifestyle

If eating the right foods...such as: whole wheat, protein, fruits, veggies...(calories from healthy choices) a calorie can be seen as a means of getting energy. An athlete will do a lot more activity than a person with a sedentary lifestyle and will need more calories to
"fuel" their bodies.
