I am not sure how long you are staying or where in the US you are going so I don't know a whole lot of the specifics.
If you plan on staying for a long time and think you may get homesick, you could bring an album of pictures with you. This has helped me a lot as I have been away for several months.
Familiar music, books, movies, recipies, or anything else you might miss while you are away also helps with homesickness.
A camera is a must. I have found a deck of cards can be quite handy as well. Especialy if you know a magic trick or two.
I have never been to England so I have no idea if the outlets are compatable or not. Here in Peru you need a converter so that is something to consider if you have a labtop or cellphone you will want to charge.
Hope this helped. If you added a little bit more information you might get some better advice :) [ annie123e's advice column | Ask annie123e A Question ]
