electrical tape

okay so im not sure if this is the right category to put it in but oh well. so basicaly my laptop charger the plug bit that goes into the laptop it's self, the wires have gone abit funny its like the plastics case around all the electric wires has slit some how and when i move it abit sparks come out of it. if i put electrical tape around it will it help ?

The same happened to mine, tape works if you wrap it tight enough, but it's dangerous as the electricity is openly flowing so be really careful.
It just fizzles out after a while, so you should order a new one and use tape while you're waiting.
