Weird power out?
My mom was vacuuming when suddenly the power was gone and she told me to come in and I thought that she couldn't vacuum her room because the light bulbs in her room went out and needed changing. But the vacuum won't work either so it's not that. And my brother's room (across from hers) has no power either and the electrical outlet (between his room and hers) isn't working because that's where she plugged the cord for the vacuum in.
Weird. My sister's room and my room are fine (though my internet is running slow because it's on the default network; the Wireless is in my brother's room and since nothing works in his room...).
Maybe I've been watching too many horror movies but has this ever happened before and is there a possible explanation or a way to fix this? Thank you.

Yes, when a circuit blows out, sometimes only certain fuses blows out. Some outlets will work while others are completely destroyed. The same thing happened in our new house that we bought. We ended up having to go to loans and replace some of the wiring in the basement because certain ones were completely dead while others were still intact. The sooner you do this the better because although the wiring is dead, it can still shoot electricity out and cause a fire.
