how do i tell what this man is after?
i have met a man and we have been friends for ages. i recently met up with him and we got on like a house on fire! we aRE now seeing each other, but eventually i would like to have a relationship. He sais he really fancies me but don't want this to happen as he has been single for 3 years and is happy on his own. do you think he will change his mind or is he to set in his ways? he is 53. I am 30

Wow! He's old enough to be your father! I would just talk to him more and tell him how much you really like him. Ask him where he sees everything going. You don't neccessarily have to get married, just tell him you would like to try out having a real relationship.
