Monologue

hi, in my theater arts class we have to do a monologue. my favorite musicals are RENT and Sweeney todd, and i was wondering if anything in RENT is considered a monologue.

If you have any good monologues, not in RENT or Sweeney todd, please, send me a script.

A monologue is when a person talks to themself with noone else in the room. If in rent there is a character who does that then yes it would be considered a monologue. Sweeney Todd is a monologue because it involves alot of solo singing to oneself. If you want something different here is a list of ones that I used in my college acting class...
