Looking at me, but dancing with her?
So I've liked this kid, let's call him Chris, for about three months. I talk to him every day in math class, and we seem to get along pretty well. Last night, there was a dance at my school. A girl, call her Melissa, was dancing all slut-like with him (and pretty much every other guy). At one point, they were next to me dancing said dance. While they were dancing, I glanced over at Chris and he was looking right at me. We made eye contact for a few seconds, and I know I should have held it longer, but I'm shy, so I looked down and away. This happened again about a minute later. To me at least, it wasn't normal eye contact. It was probably just a normal glance for Chris, but it made me catch my breath and when I think about it I get a warm feeling in my stomach. But could it mean anything that he was looking at me while he was dancing with another girl?

ok I can completely relate to this as Im sure many other girls can who have been in similar situations it happens us all at some stage or another.
anyway what I would say to you is simply this you really like the guy right?
eye contact for more then a second doesnt usually happen unless two people are initally attracted to one another so id say its safe to guess yes he may have feelings for you he may not. but the only way to know for sure is to get to know him & talk to him more and more establish a deeper friendship read signs carefully and flirt like theres no tomorrow :) then once youve worked up the courage tell him how you feel youve got nothing to loose and a whole lot to gain. think of that way its always scary but we have to face it sooner or later :)
as for this other girl you said shes quite slutty I wouldnt be worried. girls like that never go far. He probably saw it as nothing more then a dance..hes a guy after all arent they all nearly like that lol? so dont over anaylise that girl too much. just get in there and make sure no one else does first if hes giving you butterflies he sounds worth it :)
