I am 14/f. I am really good friends with this guy in my school, but he is 17.. I've fallen madly in love with him because he is everything a girl could want in a guy. I've told him that I like him and he says that he feels the same way too.. When I only liked him as a friend, we could talk for hours. Now that we know that we like each other, it gets really awkward when we are around each other and we are both just silent. I miss the days when we could talk to each other! What's happening!? Is he too old for me?
heartless414 answered Sunday November 8 2009, 1:21 pm: that's what usually happens when 2 people find out that they like each other. it changes a lot of things, one of them is being able to talk to each other the same way. it's usually just a phase though. you just need to get comfortable with each other again with this new idea that you guys like each other. once you get through that awkward phase, everything will be fine! this has nothing to do with him being too old for you, since this has happened to me with many guys that are my age, but he may be too old for you. you will figure that out with time. xo heartless [ heartless414's advice column | Ask heartless414 A Question ]

He is not too old, adults get married even though they are like ten years apart, what's wrong with that? :)
