True blood

the series true blood... anyone watch it??
its confusing me and i dont get how they turn into vampires...

its not like twilight bcos they turn into vampires when they get bitten and stuff.
but in true blood they bite each other all the time and they dont turn into vampires...
its weird i dont get it!!

i saw they scene where it shows you how bill became a vampire,, i figured that the lady vampire drained his blood and then made him drink her blood and thats how he became a vampire?? is that how it works???

help apriciated!! thankyou!

you are right, that's exactly how they do it in true blood, just not sure if they actually drain totally the "victim's" blood, because then how could she be drinking if she is totally dead?
