PHOTOSHOP PROBLEM

hi my photoshop layer drop down menu is not functioning right. when i start ps it is there but then after a while of fiddling with pictures the menu turns gray and inactive! what can possibly be wrong?

Who knows why photoshop goes on the frits at times :b Don't sweat it, I have Cs3. What I do is close photoshop and re-open it, sucks if you haven't saved any of your process, but here.

The next time you go to open photoshop go to:

Window>Workspace>DefaultWorkspace

This should help so that won't happen, you may have accidently or unknowingly changed something in your settings that could have caused it to be unusable. Doing this will set everything back to normal. :)
