Does anyone know if its possible to unlock an iphone to use with verizon without having to pay for unlocking software? Thanks!

What's your current network provider?. If you're current provider is GSM carrier network means you can easily unlock it here [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) they unlock your Iphone using remote unlocking method.I checked phone specifications in gsmarena site since your phone supports only GSM carrier network even if you unlock your phone you can use only GSM networks.

It could be possible, but you'd have to have someone who knew how to unlock phones. You can always try buying an unlocked iPhone off of Ebay or something.
But, as far as I know, you'll probably need to buy the software unless you know someone who knows how to unlock phones.
