In this day and age of STD’s and HIV having unprotected sex is with your boyfriend is very risky. Unprotected sex is for long term monogamous relationships. Do you know who your boy friends past sex partners have been? Every time you have unprotected sex with your boyfriend you are also having sex with any other partner he has had unprotected sex with.
Yes condoms do decrease some of the feelings and some of the pleasure that goes along with them, but not the overall enjoyment. There is plenty of time for unprotected sex once you are in a long term committed relationship or married. For now it is best for both you and your boyfriend that you use a condom. Experiment with the different condoms on the market to find one that gives you both the most pleasure.
As a parent I should be writing and telling you not to be having sex, but that would be hypocritical. The difference today as to when I was 17 is HIV. When I was your age all we had to worry about was STD’s and pregnancy and STD’s were usually in the realm of street walkers and call girls.
You have college and a family of your own to look forward to, an STD can leave you sterile and HVI can shorten your life span. So use condoms for your own protection. If your boyfriend refuses, then he is out for his own pleasure and I would say is not much of a future life partner. [ adviceman49's advice column | Ask adviceman49 A Question ]
mxpimpette26 answered Sunday August 23 2009, 4:21 am: I am also on the shot. And first off your not suppose to have your period while on the shot, some girls or didn't I had a period of the first 2 months when I started, sometimes I spot and other times I want get nothing. I've been on the shot since Nov 08. Now on to the prego thing, I doubt your pregnant, me and my Fiancee have been having unprotected sex ever since I've been on it, and well he actually goes in me, and I have yet to get pregnant, but that doesn't mean you might have the chance, most likely if you have been regular on getting your shot, and also getting it in the correct time, you should be okay. But snag(buy) and prego test from the store and take one just in case. Also, if you end up not being pregnant you need to speak with your doctor and see if those could be some side affects your experiencing because of the shot. I have notice I've been a little more moody since I've been on the shot, but I haven't had any sick feelings. You could be also going threw a depression, witch could be a side affect if that is the case. I hope I helped in some way. If you have anymore question or want more on and answer I have giving you, feel free to ask. Good luck with everything. :) [ mxpimpette26's advice column | Ask mxpimpette26 A Question ]
