16 and pregnant

well i took the pregnancy test last night, and yep ! im pregnant. i just turned 16 sunday. i have a 19 year old boyfriend, hell be 20 in october.

i have a few questions that ive been wonderin about since i took the test last night.
1. my first missed period was july 3, that means that im probably already 1 1/2 - 2 months along right ?
2. ive been smokin cigarettes, drinkin monsters, and very rarely alcohol until i found out last night now im not gonna have any of those. but how will that effect my baby ?

1. Pregnancy is usually counted from the date of the LMP, last menstrual period. Meaning the first day of your last non-missed normal period was the first day of your pregnancy. Therefore if that was June 9th.. you are just over 2 months pregnant.

2. If the symptoms are going along fine and you don't feel any adversary effects I wouldn't worry too much. Fetuses are surprisingly resistant in the first trimester. But stay away from those from now on if you want to have a healthy baby =] To be sure, a check with the doctor never hurt and could lessen any worries you may have and pick up on any warning signs.

You should see a doctor to inquire how far along you are because none of us can be sure. We're not doctors.
