what does refurbished mean?

Question Posted Saturday August 1 2009, 3:12 pm

ok, i was overstock.com because i want to get an ipod touch, and i heard they are cheaper on there, well it is, but it says its refurbished, does that mean it was used? should i get it? or get one from target or something instead? its like 40 dollars cheaper.. so its a pretty good deal. but i don't want something that isn't going to work well. i am going to get the contract thingy, but yeah.. what should i do? what does refurbished mean?

Refurbished basically means that it was previously used and Apple or whoever fixed it up so that it would be basically like new. If it comes with a contract and a guarantee that it will work correctly you should definitely get it :)

it was used and Apple had fixed it up. Almost like certified used cars, all the bad parts were fixed.
