for those of you that have your tongue pierced....
Question Posted Friday July 24 2009, 11:22 pm
i got my tongue pierced saturday on vacation. the swelling has pretty much completely gone down and i'm pretty anxious to get the long bar out. the guy that pierced me said if i try to change the bar myself, wait about a month bc its hard for some ppl to find the hole to put a new bar in, but that if i go somewhere to get it changed i only have to wait 1-2 weeks. i think i'd be fine to change it sometime next week but is it really difficult to change it yourself the first time? would i be better off to go to a pro to do it for me? if i do it myself, is it easier to go in through the top or bottom? any advice would be great!
vanity-fairx answered Saturday July 25 2009, 8:52 am: i'd do it professionally. i know people that have taken the piercing out and when to grab the other and couldn't find the hole. if you were to change it yourself take the top and bottom balls off the bar and line up the bottom of the other thing youre going to use and as you pull the old one from the bottom slide the new one in behind it as it moves.
