Hi, I'm 18F and my mom passed away not too long ago and I live with my aunt and she has an account for me here but it's my money, and although she is listed on the account as my representative payee, I can still write my own checks. Basically, I wrote a check out without her knowing and sent it to the wrong address and I need to place a stop payment on it immediately but when I called the bank they said that my aunt needed to do it. Is there any way around that? Can I just call back and pretend to be her? because I have her social security number and everything, so what else would they ask to verify that it's her?

Yes they will more than likely want proof that it is her on the phone because of a number of security reasons. You are an adult, If you want you could try to get the bank account in your name that might be the only way around it however you will still need her permission to do so.
