Weird bumps?

Question Posted Tuesday May 26 2009, 7:15 pm

16/F

I have these really small bumps on/around my nipples. They almost look like small pimples. And I've had them for about a few years now. Does anyone know what these are? Should I get them checked out by the doctor?

Thanks!

Additional info, added Wednesday May 27 2009, 2:41 pm:
They're just like a pimple.. they have white in the center of them. And they are the size of a small pimple, I really can't describe it.

Is there a way to get rid of them?

Here are some natural treatments for pimples :

1. Tea tree oil is a popular home remedy for pimple. It is an essential oil that is diluted and applied topically to pimple lesions.

2. Zinc is another popular home remedy for pimple. A couple of research studies have found that zinc is somewhat effective.

3. Garlic juice is an effective way as a natural pimple treatment because garlic is a natural antibacterial agent. It contains sulfur which is nature’s antibiotic.

4. Honey contains potassium, which suffocates bacteria in pimple cells to get rid of pimples faster.

5. Dandelion is very effective in fighting pimple. Use the complete dandelion plant.

They are called Montgomery glands, and they are perfectly normal. No need to have them checked by a doctor at all. All women have them. :)

Here is a search for you if you want more information. There is a link to images in the
search as well, should you want to see what others look like.

Would you be refering to the bumps on your areola? If so, that's normal! Those bumps aid in breastfeeding.

If you are talking about bumps outside your areola, I really couldn't tell you what they could be because you don't give out enough information. What do the bumps look like? How small are they? What color are they? Have they discharged blood or pus? If you want you can be more specific and I will change my answer for you.

Leah

EDIT: What area is it exactly at on your breast? Could you give me an exact location?
