I got a helix piercing in early February.
The piercing is still painful, and puss comes out of it, but the worst part is that if I take out the jewellery and put my thumb and index finger on the piercing (like pinching it from both sides)I can feel a huge, bump type of thing there, which is slightly painful.
danianarae answered Sunday May 17 2009, 4:06 pm: the piercing is definitely infected and the bump your feeling is called a small keloid (overgrowth of tissue) keloids usually grow in infected areas of healing skin, they're not harmful or anything. your best bet is to take the piercing out all together or your skin will form scar tissue and it'll just make it complicated for you. best wishes. I dont think the bump is relovent, because it is just the feeling of the hole, but the puss and swelling is a sign of infection. The best thing you could do is see a doctor and get a prescription for that thing [ hear2listen's advice column | Ask hear2listen A Question ]
