how to get Darren's cell number?

Question Posted Thursday April 16 2009, 4:01 pm

Hi I'm 16/f and I really like a guy who let's call Darren. He and I are recent friends, and one of my close friends (a guy) told Darren that I like him last weekend on Facebook (in a private chat). Darren responded with an "oh...:)" and stuff, and said that he thinks I'm cute. I worried that it might be awkward sitting next to him in class on Monday, especially since my friend had said that I asked him to tell him...but it was actually fine. The past few days, he's been smiling and we've been talking and laughing together in video class. Tomorrow (last day before April break), we don't have video class but we have chemistry together. In chem, though, we have assigned seats so I'm never able to talk to Darren. Tomorrow, however, we're going to be going outside to chemically create ice cream, so perhaps I'll get to say something to him? But I don't really know what to say, especially since he's with his buddies, and in video, it's just me and him (we don't know anybody else; we met each other because neither of us had any friends there!)

So my question to you is how do you think I could stay in touch with him over the break? I don't have his cell, and I don't (and am not allowed to) have a Facebook. Off of a friend's, I found out his AIM, but do you think it would be weird if I randomly IM'd him? And if I want his cell, how could I ask that? I don't want to creep him out, because I'd totally rather be just friends than to have him think I'm an obsessive stalker or something. Like I said, tomorrow we're doing something kind of fun in chem, so any ideas on how to tie that into "so, can I have your number?" (or hopefully some more flirty-and-not-so-awkward way to ask that)? I just don't want to come off too strong or obsessive. Thank you for reading this, and I hope for some helpful responses. :)

Ok well Tomorrow in Class go talk to him and say something like so what are you doing for spring break?? and he will tell you then be like well we really have to hang out sometime! and then hopefully he will say yeah we do! =] and be like wow im really going to miss someone over the break or something like that in a flirty way, and then if he says something like oh yeah who?? be like well if i had your number i would tell you, but i dont so i guess its just a secret. And he will most likely get the hint unless hes completly stupid and give you his number. Hope i helped =] Good luck!
