DoveBear9 answered Monday March 30 2009, 10:14 am: well anxiety or depression is a very hard thing to deal with. I know about anxiety. People who arent going through it dont understand. You should just try to be as understanding as you can. He said he doenst know why he is experiencing this anxiety. Maybe seeing a therapist is an option. He has to realize his problem and want to get help for it. If therapy wouldnt be an inconvenience, you should maybe suggest it to him and let him know that you want this for him so he can get better because you care about him. But I know that therapy may not be something he will initially be willing to do, maybe he might think it is for people with problems and he feels he doesnt have a problem. Or he may think its for weird or not normal people, or whatever.. If the therapy isnt going to be the option, you can just try to help him by continuing to let him know how much you love him, and accepting his lack of motivation. And dont take it personally, its not that you're not enough motivation for him to get chores done. Andjust encourage him to talk to you about his feelings.
