well spring break is next week and i'm going to the beach with my friends. i have pretty fast metabolism so i'm pretty thin already but i have fat on my love handles and thighs that i wanna get rid of before i go down there. i've been working out a little for some weeks now but this week i really need to kick it into high gear to lose about 5 pounds by sunday. how can i achieve this? i've been power walking on the treadmill with the incline all the way up 4-6 nights a week, plus a lot of strength training stuff. i dont drink any soft drinks and i'm gonna eat the special k cereal this week... do you think that'll be enough? any other tips?
Additional info, added Sunday March 29 2009, 4:08 pm: also i have no access to a gym or anything and i hate running outside. all i have at home is a treadmill and 8 lb weights. no stairs either.. And muscle weighs more than fat, so that is probably not what you're going for.
On the treadmill, put the incline on zero and jog. Jogging burns more fat than walking on an incline. Walking on an incline will get you some intense leg muscle, but I know that jogging will give you better results. So, if you want to slim your legs, jog. If you want to build leg muscle, walk on an incline.
Tip: make sure that you are stretching A LOT, before and after exercise. Especially your legs. Well-stretched legs look slimmer, which will solve part of your thigh problem. [ uisforukelele's advice column | Ask uisforukelele A Question ]

Their both fun and having alot more physical activity which will alow you to lose some more weight [ Hitch0703's advice column | Ask Hitch0703 A Question ]
