I have a Motorola RAZR cell phone using Verizon iNPulse (prepay). Just recently my phone has been acting up. The screen fades, freezes, and im unable to see anything. My girlfriend has a Motorola RAZR as well but it was set up using a family contract plan. She now has a Envy2 and no longer uses the RAZR.
I'm wondering if I'm able to switch her old contract phone and switch it to a prepay phone using my prepay account. I tried using the verizon site to do the switch but her phone has a longer DEC: # and won't allow me to enter all the numbers.

I do believe you can use an env2 with prepaid service call *611 to be sure or check online at verizonwireless.com
Answer to question 2. Esn numbers come in 3 formats. DEC is all numbers I do believe 11 digits. HEX has letters and numbers together totally about 9 digits. Then MEID which will start A000000. Any of those should work but prepaid you might have to call custiomer care to change phones or get replacement options. Also make sure your friend doesn't owe money on that phone and didn't report it lost or stolen hope that helps! Much Love! [ NikkiD's advice column | Ask NikkiD A Question ]
