Should We

Question Posted Wednesday March 25 2009, 10:30 am

A friend and I had an issue with a former friend and we apologized to this person and all and he seems to not want to let go of the past, so get getting other people not to associate with us and all and he wont add people associated with a friend or I to his friends list after deleting us and hes now not gonna add people who are friends with us because of us which I feel is rude and just stupid not to add people because of what went on and all We dropped the issue, but it seams like he wont let it all go. We apologized for what happened, tried to get him to talk, well not force, but tried to work it all out, but that didnt work since he ignored the emails and all and we did what we could to try and work things out and decided to just drop it and all as we felt there was nothing a friend and I could do about this other friend. He will not talk or say why he got mad or anything and deleted us for no reason, etc and didnt tell us anything or say why. We gave it all up and dropped it as we both have lives and we let it all go over a month ago and decided it wasnt worth it anymore. Since hes probably still not letting the past go and all and I gfeel he's having people go against us and all or turning them against us, etc and taking this way to far and probably still, should we do a birthday card for him and all? I feel we shouldnt and I just dont feel comfortable doing one after what he put us through and did to us without even talking or saying what we did wrong. My friend things we should try and be nice and do a card and show him respect cuz she feels it will prove we let thing go and that we could be nice. Im cool with it if she still wants to do it, but I feel we shouldnt because why should I be nice to someone who isnt nice to me? I dont know if it will prove we dropped things and that he will just drop it too. I mean it isnt easy getting over an issue like this, So should we do up a birthday card or no? I feel that we shouldnt after what went on and all. That is my question. Thanks for any kind of advice.

I wouldn't give him a card. Obviously he can't be mature enough to accept an apology, so why waste your time on him? And if he's turning people against you, I'd forget all about him, as well as the people who are dumb enough to go against you without even talking to you two about it. He's not being a good friend, & neither are the people willing to just go against you two. I'd just be the adult in the situation & ignore him & everyone else who turned against you two.
