when i masterbate, i gently rub my clit. it feels amazing, but i also sometimes experience pain, but like a good pain. is this normal?

its very normal. The pain maybe from directly touching your clit, which is a nerve ending. It can be painful, thats why it has a hood of skin over it protecting the nerve.
