installing fedora 10 to the hard drive from a live USB

so when i have a live USB of F10, which i am trying to install to the hard drive of my computer. (laptop) i can get to the F10 desktop perfectly fine and then i click the install to hard drive icon and my computer just freezes up. has anyone had experience with this? and please i've spent endless hours searching the web about this, so please no links unless the answer is contained in it.

any help appreciated.

At the Fedora "boot:" prompt, type:
linux text
and press enter. This will start the text-based installer. The text-based installer is as easy to use as the graphical installer.

When you do this you should make sure that you have some other operating system to fall back to. Your new Fedora installation might not work correctly, since the graphical install didn't work.

If the text-based installer also freezes, you probably won't be able to install Fedora without the help of an advanced Linux user. Try some other distributions, they might include the files that your laptop needs.
