installing fedora 10 to the hard drive from a live USB
Question Posted Friday March 13 2009, 2:47 pm
so when i have a live USB of F10, which i am trying to install to the hard drive of my computer. (laptop) i can get to the F10 desktop perfectly fine and then i click the install to hard drive icon and my computer just freezes up. has anyone had experience with this? and please i've spent endless hours searching the web about this, so please no links unless the answer is contained in it.
When you do this you should make sure that you have some other operating system to fall back to. Your new Fedora installation might not work correctly, since the graphical install didn't work.
If the text-based installer also freezes, you probably won't be able to install Fedora without the help of an advanced Linux user. Try some other distributions, they might include the files that your laptop needs. [ theymos's advice column | Ask theymos A Question ]
