show him i like him without actually telling him

Question Posted Wednesday March 4 2009, 6:20 pm

I like my guy friend from school, and he doesn't know about it. It's very possible he likes me but I'm just not totally sure just yet. I feel like I could be getting somewhere with him but I'm just not comfortable at all with just flat out admitting it. I'm not exactly a natural flirt either. What are ways I can hint to and and infer that I like him without actually admitting it? Also what are some ways to know if a guy likes you?

I met a guy I felt the same way about this summer. We had a group thing with friends invited and he showed up. I had never seen him before. He was so cute and funny. I knew right away this was someone I wanted to get to know.

So I friended him on facebook, got his cell number and bravely texted him- my very first text to him was 'hey sexi' Of course he texted me back! What guy doesn't like to be flattered?

I told him who I was and when we met. And I just acted like I was playing around and he started talking to me. Long story short, we talked and flirted for 2 months. First in text and aim chat. Then phone calls and at school (luckily I had a class with him). After a couple of months of getting to know each other we made it official, and just celebrated our 6th month of going out.

It sounds like you guys are friends... and now you need to take the NEXT step and make it more.

Flirting is a way to put it out there in a fun, friendly way, without just blurting out your hearts desire. You don't have to be sexy when you flirt - you can be funny instead.

If you can't get your voice to work, casually touch him. Bump his hand when you walk with him. Quickly brush his hair off his forehead, a crumb off his shirt, anything. Compliment HIS hat, shirt, whatever. Make him laugh.

If you want him to know that he likes you, without flat out telling him, then make sure you show it. See if he wanta to hang out, or call him up, and talk to him as much as possible, WITHOUT being clingy and innoying, and make sure you always smile when you are around him, but not like a creepy clown always smiling just when he says something with enthusiasm. If he always makes an effort to talk to you or do something with you, and smiles or seems happier when you are with him, then he likes you, unless he's a player.
