It's getting old and I'm losing my patience!

Question Posted Sunday March 1 2009, 9:48 pm

I'm 19 & this guy that I like who is 22 initiates our texting conversations almost daily, however he never asks me to hang out. When I told him that I like him about 3 months ago, he said he wasn't looking for a relationship since he just got out of a 2 year one around last September. Because he is aware of my feelings toward him I figure that he would see that I would like to spend time with him. I haven't asked him because I don't want to be pushy. I'm not sure where he stands and if I do suggest that we spend some time together I don't want to scare him off. I'm confused and don't know what to do.

Hard to answer.

Most guys would jump on an opportunity like that, or else make some pathetic excuse you wouldn't have failed to mention.

Since he has done neither, its really hard to tell whats going on other than the possibility that he's still fucked up about the relationship.

I'd suggest saying something. Its been 3 months, you're past the point you should be waiting for him if you like him.

Maybe text him "So, honestly, why haven't you asked me out yet?"

And follow up whatever he answers with a "I'd say yes."

You should just hang out in a smallish group of people and talk to him alot and hang out in groups often and then he will get used to having you around hopfully and ask you out.
