Question Posted Saturday February 28 2009, 2:21 am
I am 48 years old and I have some difficulties holding my urine. Like if I need the toilet, I lose control and little drips of my urine come out. I don't know why.. Could it be the food I eat or I don't exercise enough or, stress.. This is the first time it has happened to me. I recently moved to a new country, if that helps. Thanks! :)
If you're a male, you could have an enlarging prostate, and need to seek medical attention, this can be treated by medicine.
You could also have a urinary tract infection, but it's unlikely because you did not mention any pain or discomfort, this is more likely in women but also occurs in men.
You might also have a bladder infection, which isn't severe.
In any case, I'd suggest seeing a doctor if you're unable to control your urine for more than a week, it's probably nothing, but it can't hurt to get checked out. [ KellyHappy's advice column | Ask KellyHappy A Question ]

You can feel which muscles they are by stopping your flow of urine when you go to pee next. Basically, contract your muscles, like if you were stopping your urine, and hold it for a few seconds. Do sets of 10 a few times a day. You can do this anywhere, no one will even know you are doing them. [ Myrrha's advice column | Ask Myrrha A Question ]
