I'm a drak brunette, naturally. I've done all the colors: pink, yellow, blonde, red, auburn, black, blonde over bright orange, blue/black. I just go into walmart and buy the 3 dollar hair dye. It lasts just as long as the 8+ dollar hair dyes, and with same results. Just make sure you don't buy it at a dollar store, because their brands are ripoffs and don't work. Also, if you have dyed your hair black recently, or have pitch black hair, it may take more than one dying session to lighten it. For best results, go to a salon. :]
