long distance relationships..
hi my name is chelsie. over the summer I met this guy in Cancun. we really hit it off. and we talk to each other all the time. I'm from west Virginia and he's from arkansas. I'm pretty sure we really like eachother only thing that's keeping us from being together is where we live. I like him a lot I just don't know what to do. long distance relationships never work. maybe it could be different. :/

Of course it can be different ! Not all long distance relationships work, but a good amount do. It just depends on what you both are willing to do and how you will contribute to the bad times and the good. It's not going to be easy ... unless you make it that way. You have to be commited to this relationship, no wanderign eyes, nothing, just you and him. Talk to him all of the time on the phone. I mean, my friend is in teh SAME exact situation as you. except she lives in Boston and her boyfriend lives in California. They are always on the phone with eachother, wether it be texting, talking, IMing, facebook, e-mail .. anything. They are ALWAYS communciatong with one another and that is key. They also make dates and stuff to look forward to, so they have somehting to keep them going strong.. like anniversaries and the time he visits her or she visits him [which is usually during the summer]
They also write letters to eachother, so they can be like, "did you get my letter yet ?!" [yet another thing to look forward to] and they also send eacvhother cute presents or gifts. like little surprises. Once, he sent her this vase filled with 6 roses for their 6 month anniversary. [he moved on their 3 month anniversary] it's very cute and shows you just how far a people will go to keep their love strong. It's not impossible, and I'm sure you'll be able to do it, just talk to him about your fears and you will work through this together.
This will work out for you, it's not as hard and horrible as a lot of people make it out to be. Trust me. Oh and speaking of trust ... you NEED to trust him. and he NEEDS to trust you COMPLETLY. no trust = not going to work at all.
Keep this in mind and everything will be fine and you will ahve a wonderful relatonship with this guy :] I promise.
