Losing weight is difficult as everyone knows what they need to do but can't always follow through. You need to determine if you even are overweight or if you just think so.
Once you do your BMI you should visit your doctor and set a plan that is realistic he might refer you to a nutritionist who could come up with a plan and teach you what to eat, what not and how much in terms of portions.
As far as being unhappy goes it probably hasn't much to do with your weight. Think about what is bothering you overall and write a list out. Write down the negative thoughts you have. See your doctor for a referral to an adolescent/child psychiatrist to see if you have depression or other mood disorder issue. [ solidadvice4teens's advice column | Ask solidadvice4teens A Question ]
Myrrha answered Thursday January 22 2009, 4:39 am: If you want to be more successful, you have to feel good about yourself. A good place to start is finding a women's support group. They are offered many places, especially churches. Then work on losing weight. If you don't feel you are motivated enough to do it on your own, then join a weight watchers, jenny craig, or someplace that offers weightloss help. And lastly, exercise! Exercise releases "feel-good" hormones in your brain that make you feel happy. If you can stick with that, it will change your life forever, you will feel healthy, happy, and sexy! Those are the keys to success! You never quite mentioned what you meant by successful. You targeted your weight and mood, so that's how I came to my answer. Let me know if I didn't touch all the bases. Good luck!
