I am a bank teller and spend most of my day counting cash, or typing. I have found that my fingers are starting to hurt ALOT and lock up on me. I want to know what this could be a symptom of. My mother lacks calcium and I have calcium pills but I do not take them regularly. The pills I have are called Calcia. What do you recommend. Are there better pills for me? Or should I take other vitamin pills as well. i don't want to suffer from bone illness so young I am only 19. What should I do??? (P.S even typing right now is causing pain to my fingers)
Pain like this is associated with a lot of severe issues, including lupus and fibromyalgia. This is not a bone problem but a joint problem, most likely. Calcium pills are probably not enough to help this, especially if it's within the joint and not the bones themselves. Any way it is, you should already be taking a daily multivitamin for general health so you probably should pick something up anyway.
Please, see a doctor as soon as possible so they can check you out. The longer you wait, the more these symptoms could progress into something more severe--maybe to the point where you are unable to move your fingers properly for days.
