I used to have the same issue. Your better off asking him out. If he says no, you'll be upset for a while but then you'll get over it. Don't make the same mistake I did. I was in love with someone for years and didn't say a word. As a result, I never dated much. I made myself miserable by not telling him. I finally told him and now, we're engaged. Take it from me, ask him out.
