mostourizer

Question Posted Thursday December 4 2008, 7:57 pm

i need a mostoriuzer, something that doesnt leave you with a greasy or oily feel, but that mostrouizes your skin leaving it feel soft, and has Vitamin C in it. but something i can get at lke wal-greens or wal-mart, not something i have to order. and that will help with lines, not like old lady lines, but fine lines that you can get from tanning like under your eyes or on your forehead. im 17

1. Figure out what your skin type is. Dry, normal, combination, or oily? The right moisturizer will blend into your skin without making it feel greasy.

2. Look for the word non-comedogenic if you have acne or blackheads. Non-comedogenic moisturizers are labeled so because they have tested on human volunteers with oily skin.

3. Look for the word hypoallergenic if you have sensitive skin, or are allergic to harsh fragrances. Hypoallergenic usually means that the product does not contain the most common potential allergens. However if you suffer from eczema, read the ingredient list very carefully. See the resource section for choosing a daytime moisturizer if you suffer from eczema.

4. Look for a sun protection factor of 15 or above. Also look for a product that claims protection from both UVB, and UVA, or broad spectrum protection. Most SPF products do a decent job with UVB protection, but only certain ingredients such as avobenzone, and micronized titanium dioxide help shield against the longer wave UVA rays that are primarily responsible for wrinkling and age spots.

5. Look for a moisturizer that also contains antioxidants. Antioxidants help in making sunscreen more effective, by preventing new damage on the skin. They also help in healing damage that has already been done on the skin. Look for ingredients VitC, VitE, Coenzyme Q10, green tea, etc.
