Question Posted Wednesday November 26 2008, 12:21 pm
Hello-
I can't seem to download iTunes onto my computer, it will go as far as the last step (i think), and then this message displays:
Error writing to file:C:\Program
Files\iTunes\iTunes.Resources\en.lprog\Apple TV
Help.chm. Verify that you have access to that directory.
Why does this keep happening?
I am the administrative user.
If this helps I have a Dell Inspiron 1521 laptop.
Also I tried calling the company and they can't do anything for me. Should I try just bringing it to a speacialist to fix this, and how much will that cost.
Your help is appreciated. Thank You.

Right click C: and click "properties". In the new window, click the "security" tab. Click "edit". Click "Add". Enter your exact user name in the text box and click "ok". If you entered your user name correctly, it will now be listed under "group or user names". Click it. In the lower section of this window, check the "Allow" box next to "full control". Ok all windows. Restart. You should now be able to install iTunes.
