linksys router password

Question Posted Thursday November 20 2008, 3:46 pm

okay so i forgot my linksys router password and i need to log into it. ive tried putting in admin as the password and the username and both at the same time. i think i need to reset it, but i have 3 computers, and i need to make sure before i reset it that it will all be back to normal again! so if i reset it, what am i going to need to do to get things back to normal?

The default password is "admin". Leave the username blank.

To reset, hold down the reset button for 30 seconds.

If you have cable Internet and all three computers are connected directly to the router, then nothing further is required. If you have DSL, you'll probably need to set up PPPoE using the settings given to you by your ISP. If some of the computers are connected wirelessly, you'll need to set up wireless:
-Enable wireless
-Set security to WPA2 personal - AES
-Set a password
