How do I give photos the old look?

Question Posted Sunday November 16 2008, 6:35 pm

For my History project, I wrote this letter as if I'm a soldier writing home and I made it look so real by crumpling it and dipping it into tea.

For the project, we must include one picture. i have this perfect one that's already black/brown and white but it won't look that old if I print it out. Will it end up okay if I crumple it up and dip that into tea too?

Or is there something else you can suggest?

I wouldn't take any risk in ruining the old photo you have already. If you want you could scan it and edit it on picnik because they have a lot of effects you can give a picture and the way to do it is pretty self explanitory and then when you print it, you could stick it in tea and burn the edges.

I had a project like this once, I also burned the edges. Makes it look really good when you're looking to make it look older.

Just a suggestion. good luck.
