a question for musically-inclined guitar players :)
Question Posted Wednesday November 12 2008, 7:43 pm
Well, I'm learning to play the acoustic guitar and the other day in class I wrote some lyrics and I really want a tune to play with them, but I'm not exactly great at putting chords to lyrics. I can write lyrics and I can write chords but I can't write music for chords, I guess is what I'm trying to say :) so, here's the song. I have NO idea what the tune should be or what the chords should be. I'm just a beginner, but i'm learning quickly so nothing extremely hard or extremely easy please :) Well, here's the lyrics:
Everytime you open your mouth
plagerism comes spilling out
and when I listen to your lies
I just hang my head and sigh
I think I've got you figured out
the cool kid without a doubt
that he can have anyone he sees
so why did he have to see me?
I think I hate you
I think I love you
I think I hate that I love you
You're so annoying
you're so charming
I think I'm finally realizing
who you really are
oo-oh-oh
Being you should be a sin
Your heart doesn't show through skin
you hide your feelings up your sleeve
you're stuck in place, unwilling to leave
You're like a piece of gum
stuck to my shoe
you like me
but I hate you
I think I hate you
I think I love you
I think I hate that I love you
You're so annoying
You're so charming
I think I'm finally realizing
who you really are
oo-oh-oh
oo-oh-oh
oo-oh-oh
I'm so confused
oo-oh-oh
{eventually fades out}
And that's all I got. This is the first song I've written, so I want it to be good :) Also, if you have any improvement for the lyrics, all comments are accepted! You can say "you suck" for all I care as long as you back it up with some critique :) Thanks so much you guys! And full credit will be given to the person who helps me!

Spelling error: "plagiarism" not "plagerism". I like the word put there when sounded out but question, how does it fit? Plagiarism is when someone copies something from someone else and doesn't give credit. Not sure if that's what you mean there because the rest of the song doesn't address that.
