last friday, i was curling my hairr and i burned my neck pretty bad. the curler heats up to 420 degrees, needless to say it hurt. a dime sized amount of skin peeled immediately. for the past couple days i keep recovering it with a bandaid and neosporin and i change it about 4 times a day. should i continue to cover it or should i let the air heal it now? and is there anything else i can be doing for this to heal soon?
Hitoast answered Tuesday November 4 2008, 8:42 pm: Well, you've taken good care of it so far. When I was little, I accidently placed the underside of my wrist/elbow, which is very sensitive, on a stove top. It peeled off and I didn't do anything to "heal" it or take care of it and nothing ever happened to the wound. I would just let the air heal it :) [ Hitoast's advice column | Ask Hitoast A Question ]
