itouch vs iphone

my family bought me an itouch 32GB within the past week and i was wondering if it was possible in any way to return it and instead buy an iphone? i'm not sure if my family kept the receipt but if they didnt would i still be able to return it?

i was thinking if i cant return it, do you think selling it on ebay would be a good alternative? and if it is, how soon would it sell?

Maybe they will switch it in the store. It depends where you got it from some stores will exchange stuff. If not sell it on Craig's list &/or Ebay.
