Hello there,

Without more detail on exactly what you have in mind for a game, I can only give general suggestions.

For on-line game building:

Game maker 7 from YoYo games:

... and Roblox:

... come to mind.

If you want to build an adventure game:

Adventure maker has a freeware version:

... and the big dog in the freeware adventure game maker pack: AGS (Adventure Game Studio)

... which was used to remake classic games like those from the King's Quest series.

As for making a website... let me spare you some grief. Have a look at what is already out there. Spend time going through them all, or as many as you can take at least... and then ask yourself the following questions:

"What can I do that will make my game site stand out from the pack?"

"There are already thousands of game sites, so what will make people want to use mine?"

"What do I have to offer that nobody else has already done?"

"What do I bring to the game site market that nobody else could?"

... if you don't like the answers, don't waste your time.

I don't want to discourage you, but I don't want you to be even more discouraged by building something and having nobody at all use it.

Have fun making games, and if you get a nice one together, drop me a note so I can play it. :-)

DN.
