palm centro

Question Posted Wednesday September 17 2008, 10:37 pm

i have a palm centro and every night it automatically updates at like 4:45 in the morning.
the problem is, in my dorm there is no place that i get service enough for it to update. so a box comes up saying it wasn't able to update and asks if i want to run it now or cancel the update. this is fine except i have my alarm set to go off to wake me up and if the box is up, my alarm wont sound. is there a way to change the time for the updates or change a setting so the box doesn't come up or anything i can do? thanks

Hi there,

Apparently, you are the only one here with a centro and this problem. I looked into it, however, and apparently it is pretty common.

I found this:

... which indicates that the even can be shifted to a new time in the Palm Centro. How to do that? Can't help, but the people at CentroSpot.com probably know about everything there is to know about the Palm Centro.

How about posting in their forum, and seeing if someone who actually has a Centro can help you solve your Palm probs?

I did look in the manual, but it seems like they assume you should be able to figure it out, since they don't make much mention of it there. I hate it when they do that. Apparently Palm doesn't have the best manuals, and the Centro is no exception. :-(
