This is to anyone who is USING or has USED nuvaring. What do you think about it from experience. What are some thinks that may of gone wrong. Another question is...is it true that you have to give your body a "break" from any type of birth control every couple of years or it will like forget how to ovulate??? and you may have trouble getting pregnant in the future?

Yoey answered Wednesday September 17 2008, 1:58 am: I have been using the nuvaring for about 11 months now. I really like it because you don't have to remember to take it everyday. You also don't have mood swings like the pill gives you. With the pill you take it everyday and it spikes your hormone levels. Which causes mood swings. The nuvaring gives you a constant level of that hormone, so you don't have mood swings as much.
A lot of people say it falls out all the time, but if you get it in far enough it won't. And don't worry it won't get lost. You can't even feel it, not even during sex. You can't feel it and neither can your partner. It has come out a few times after sex when my husband pulls out, but you simply wash it off with water and put it back in.
I have also heard that its hard to get pregnant after being on any type of birth control. I hope that not the case, because my husband and I are planning on starting to try in the next few months. Well hope this help at least answer some of your questions. If you want to know anything else let me know. Good luck. [ Yoey's advice column | Ask Yoey A Question ]
